As an artist I develop pieces of art that intrigue, inspire, challenge and delight. I transform seemingly normal into different views and give mystery and inspiration to the abstract. I want people to see my pieces as more than just a drawn image. I want them to see a message or receive a feeling as they observe each element in it that makes it unique.

I develop pieces through inspiration of real life happenings both current and past. Sometimes its the beauty of a dragon fly that I see flying, the shimmer from the sun on water or a story I’ve read or heard. I also pull inspiration from past events as a child or from a historical event that took place in the world. Life and history after all is a endless book of stories, opportunities, experiences and lessons that form great inspirations for art.

I enjoy using many different mediums. For my abstract pieces I enjoy alcohol inks. They flow easily and sometimes I let them guide me in the piece. Not only do they flow beautifully but they react in a magical matter that never ceases to amaze me. I also have recently spent time working with digital tablets to create pieces. New technologies allow me to draw in the same fashion as I would pieces traditionally. For more realistic pieces I prefer charcoals, graphite and colored pencils. I feel I have more control with them which to me is important in a more detailed realistic piece. Combining multiple mediums allows me to create unique twists for my audience. I breathe life into every piece I create.
